These water spouts were spotted at 5:30 pm Saturday, September 16, 2000, just off the coast of Deerfield Beach, FL. Water spouts are essentially sea-going tornadoes.
I was 2-3 miles away as they moved along the coast, just off shore. In the picture at the middle right of the page, you can see that there were actually two at the same time. They lasted for about 15 minutes.
